MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES SCOUTING REPORT
SCREEN/ROLL COVERAGE
REPORT
As much as they are a fucking mess, they do play hard as fuck. They will give you pressure in screen/roll and try to turn you over. Pippen Jr. is good pressuring the ball, but not a stopper by any means. He will lunge and try to get steals more than stay in front of you. Brandon Clarke is their best rim protector(If he is even playing, they might activate Marc and Pau Gasol they have so many fucking injuries). They witch a lot and rotate pretty fast. No stoppers on their roster, but they do pressure the ball and try to get deflections. A lot of switching and movement, try to force you into tough contested shots. Clarke is like Richaun Holmes, active tries to chase down blocks, leaves his feet a lot.
SCORING ON THEM IN SCREEN ROLL
REPORT
Keep driving them. There will be a lot of opportunity to score at the rim. Keep the ball moving and be aggressive to look for your drive. They have youth and activity, but not a lot of discipline. You should be able to live in the paint and make plays for yourself/others. Don’t let the ball stick and don’t give them time to load up by not moving the ball. If you are aggressive with screen/roll you should be able to get whatever shot you want for your team. Keep your dribble and be patient they will make mistakes. Pippen Jr will give effort , but will die on screens. He will lunge a lot and lose balance, giving you driving angles. Live in the paint and look to attack from the jump. Look ahead passes in transition will also be a killer for them.
OPENINGS FOR 3 POINT SHOTS
REPORT
They give up a ton of corner 3PT shots. Drive and kicks should be open all night. Like I said before, if you are patient and keep your dribble there will be a lot of shots tonight. Move the ball and be on the attack with your drives. They will load up to the ball and then try to rotate out on the pass, but they overcommit on a lot of their attempts to stop the ball from getting to the paint/rim. Look to attack. Also in transition when you have the ball look for Vic/Trail Big for that behind the back pass on penetration. They love trying to load to the ball, but keep their eyes from off ball targets. Trail 3PT shots on the catch will be open. When you are off the ball in transition get to the corner early, you should get 4-5 3PT attempts tonight.

REPORT
Scores mostly in screen and roll and spotting up off the ball. Solid player, can make shots looking to initiate contact and use his body on screen/roll. Nothing special physically with explosiveness or great playmaking. Just tries to get to his spots mostly on dribble pull ups. Push up on him and push him to his left hand. Show handstand make them active especially in the screen roll pocket to make it hard for him to make passes. Good catch and shoot 3PT shooter, contest everything. I would pressure him full court if that is an option. He isn’t a great ball handler and can get worn down without question. Keep him off his right hand and show the ref your hands on all of his drives. Doesn’t have great basketball IQ and the pressure will bother him, especially getting away from his right hand. He will then start forcing tough bad shots for him.
TURNOVERS
REPORT
Force him into being a playmaker and over dribbling. Not built for that. Show him constant pressure and push him left. He is a scorer/pop up jumpshooter. The more he dribbles the more mistakes he will make. Push up on him and make it hard. Active hands and push him left.

Low efficiency scorer. Very streaky shooting the ball. Wants to drive into the elbow/paint area for pull ups. Screen and rolls and spot ups are his weapons of choice. Stay on your feet, do not go for a single fucking fake. Motherfucker hits the offensive glass hard so be aware of that.Only way that he hurts you offensively if you give him wide open driving lanes or foul him by leaving your feet for bullshit or in the open court. Low percentage finisher. Plays a wild AAU style of just dribbling around looking for fucked up shots. Stay on your feet , show hands, and contest everything. Shooting 38% from the field and 29% from the 3. He might have won a contest for a roster spot.
TURNOVERS
REPORT
Not a strong ball handler, the more he handles it and the more pressure he faces the more mistakes he makes. Push up on him if he brings it up just pressure the shit out of him. On the catch show hands and make them active. Not an accurate passer will make mistakes.

You won’t match up with him much. He is their best players with all of the injuries they have had. Mostly a spot up player off the ball that likes to get to a straight line drive to the rim. Operates mostly out of the left corner. Average shooting threat. Cuts off the ball very well so be aware of that, especially on outbacks on the offensive glass. Athletic player that plays hard trying to get to his right hand and to the rim. Most efficient spot shooting his jumper is the left corner(16-30 53%). Good finisher looking to get above the rim. Pressure his dribble not very strong but if you give him space he can get momentum on drives and be a problem. Steps out of bounds more than you think in the corner as well as travels. Push up on him extra in those corners. Motherfucker isn’t a Rocket Scientist.
TURNOVERS
REPORT
Weak Dribbler. Attack his ball every single dribble. He will turn it over or pick up his dribble. If you are off ball take swipes at him if he is dribbling in your area. He is not strong with the ball in his hands, only if there is no pressure is he effective off the dribble. Take that shit from him.

Loves running hooks. Motherfucker is out of the 1960’s Wants to get to his running hook soon any shot. Not a shooting threat just a driver so no fouls show the ref your hands and contest his shots. Do not foul him. He gives energy and plays hard, but is something out of the And 1 Mixtape Tour, not the good one, when that shit was going under financially and they had to bring in replacements.

Not sure If he is playing or not. Stay connected non everything. Big Time 3PT threat. Stay connected and contest everything. Wants to spot him up , run him off pins, as well as hand offs. Just do not give him space, no fouls, and stay on your feet. Active hands and pressure the fuck out of him. 94 feet if he is brining the ball up. Don’t give him any space and know where he is at all times off the ball for quick spot ups when you least expect it.
